Green Pastures
Green Pastures Farm sits in Lapwai, ID, where the Neufeld family raises a flock of laying hens on open pasture. Their eggs show up on the menu at Happy Day Restaurants, part of a growing network of local farms and producers supplying the valley.

The hens are raised using rotational grazing, moved regularly between paddocks of fresh pasture in a mobile, netted shelter. It's one of the higher standards of care for the birds, and it also improves soil health and strengthens the pasture over time.

Eggs are gathered, rinsed, and sorted by hand, often with the whole family pitching in, before heading out to Happy Day Local. The flock produces roughly 15 dozen eggs a week, which are distributed to Happy Day Restaurants.

Green Pastures also sells directly from a self-serve farm stand on the property, where visitors can pick up fresh eggs in person. We believe food tastes better when you know the people behind it — thank you to the Neufeld family for showing us where our eggs come from.
