Gifts from the Garden

Just outside the Lewis-Clark Valley in Gifford, Idaho, CJ and Ryan Kalysten grow a variety of fresh microgreens for Happy Day Local's restaurant partners.

Don't let their size fool you: these tiny greens are nutritional powerhouses, containing 4 to 40 times the concentration of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants compared to their fully grown counterparts.

The greens are grown indoors on tiered shelving under grow lights, with each tray labeled and tracked from seed to harvest.

Once ready, the microgreens are harvested, weighed, and packed for delivery. You can find their locally grown microgreens featured in dishes at The Mystic Cafe, Zany Graze, and Main Street Grill, part of Happy Day Local's commitment to supporting local growers and bringing the freshest ingredients to the table.
